Commando Challenge Singapore 2013

The Commando Challenge 2013, Singapore was a interesting event where participants have to run through a 12km along the Green Corridor with 25 obstacles. A first time held in our hot and humid Singapore. But this does not stop our runners having a fun time ^_^

We finally took the chance of a clear weather and brought Mia along for a small shoot at ION Orchard Singapore. X'mas is getting near so hope to bring the girls out a bit more on the next few weeks.

This year we have a new visitor at AFA 2013 - The Obitsu folks decided to drop by Singapore and introduce their Obitsu dolls to the local community, Of course Mia won't miss the chance to meet some new friends

New Flash ~ Canon 270EX II

Canon's 580EX II is a wonderful flash, but on some occasions it can be too heavy to operate, especially when you are traveling. The 270EX II will also use as a fill flash when photographing Mia outdoors. Hope the light weight and HSS (High Speed Sync) will help me to get better lighting pictures with Mia ^_^

Unfortunately weathers recently are not as good in Singapore. I will be posting more update on this flash when I have a chance to test it with Mia

Tokyo Trip 2013 - Chapter 00

Thanks to Scoot (www.flyscoot.com) generous offer on their 2c tickets. We finally have a chance to fly to Japan. Despite the trip was much shorter then our expectation (due to budget) but we sure enjoy the food, place and the scenery around Tokyo, Japan. We will sure be making our way back when our bank account were fill up again.

Of course, how can a trip without our little dear Mia. Watch out for our upcoming Japan trip report together with Mia ^_^

Thaipusam 2013 - Part I

Thaipusam is a highly symbolic Hindu festival celebrated by Singapore’s Tamil community. It is an annual procession by Hindu devotees seeking blessings, fulfilling vows and offering thanks. Celebrated in honour of Lord Subrahmanya (also known as Lord Murugan), who represents virtue, youth and power to Hindus and is the destroyer of evil, it is held during the full moon in the 10th Tamil month, called Thai, which falls in mid-January each year.

The old Queenstown/ Queensway cinema, Singapore was opened in 1977. It was a modern icon in its era which consists a state of the art cinema with two halls, a bowling centre, KTV and a KFC . The complex closed in late 2000 due to economic dowturn. Today. the cinema now sits quietly and waiting to be demolish for new developments.
