Mia's Christmas Tree

Mia's Christmas present and winter outfit just arrive on time, one day before Christmas eve. But with Singapore raining almost non-stop the past few days, it was impossible to go out and shoot the Xmas lightnings. So we have to settle with a little shoot at home while setting up our mini Christmas tree.

I haven't told her that this is not the only present she will be receiving. So she will be getting an additional surprise on boxing day. =)

This month budget almost all went to new camera gears, got a new wireless flash trigger - Pixel King and Nissin di866 Flash

Now I fire my flash higher than 1/250 ^_^

Will try to write a short review on them soon.

Twelve day of Christmas - 始動

Recently been raining almost daily in Singapore, and outdoor shooting chances are much less than usual. So decided to take the chance to start a photo project - Twelve days of Christmas.

This project will contains 12th full HD wallpapers, starting from 13th Dec, will upload one wallpaper per day unitl Christmas. A great way for me to train my lighting and Photoshop skills as well.

AFA 11 : Miku Live in Singapore

11.11.11 is 1st Day of AFA and also first 2nd Miku 3D concert outside Japan ^o^

After riding the circle line 2 times across 3 trains (yeah...in Singapore we have a Circle Line which does not close the loop...Uniquely Singapore)
By the time I reach the whole floor already crowded with fans, and after some squeezing managed to get my light sticks and tickets.

A long delayed post for Mia's new Kimono (Thanks Squishtaru ^_^ ). The shoots were taken a while ago but haven't upload them yet.

A walk in the garden

I have been almost 10 years since I last visited the Singapore Botanic Gardens. With the SMRT Circle Line opened recently, I decided to take the chance and bring Mia for her first visit to the Botanic Gardens

The station new exit is on the other end of the garden near Duream Road . In the past most visitors if they are visiting by bus they will be entering from the main gate at Tanglin Road.

Finally got my hand on the Canon EF-S 10-22mm after drooling it over for almost 4 months. I first experienced this lens during a camera shoot with my friend and the results was incredible. Its simply make people on the far end "disappear". When I try it on doll shooting. It is easier frame with the background. Only problem is have to look out your own gears and shadows so they won't fall into the frame.

If for negative comment, this does not have IS (okay...this lens was more meant for landscape and most people use it with a tripod) But when shooting dolls in some wired position an IS will help and especially for the evening shoots. Hope the next version will come with IS and cost around SGD $1000.

Next is to prepare the budget for DD Saber Alter...the biggest ever budget spent on dolls >_<

After shooting at the bridge we started heading over to Bukit Timah Railway Station along the path which the tracks once existed. But the entire place is muddy after tracks were removed.

Last Sat Mia finally have a chance to re-visit the truss bridge along the KTM line. We don't have much chance to travel last month due to my studies and Singapore GP. So she was excited along with her new outfit she worn during the F1.

Of course I won't miss the chance to bring Mia along for the F1 race on Sat. Was really luckily to get a day ticket that day, but sadly did not have much time to snap with Mia as the place is quite crowded in areas which were good for shooting. Only managed a few acceptable shoots for Mia at the end.

Mia's New Dress

Finally got sometime to let Mia to try on her new dress. She is happy now and glad to have some shoots taken with her new dress. The dress was org. for PNS series, but it still "fits" PNM bodies, except a bit difficult to dress her up properly. Her new shoes are still on the way...

Black & White

The girls finally arrived today, Himeno (えっくす☆きゅーと 8thシリーズ 魔女っ子ひめの) and Sahra ~ Summer Melody plus a some summer cloths and a bottle of Azone mist.

Sahra is really cute in her summer dress, but her skin is much tanner this round, so switching her body around won't be able to work. (I still prefer lighter skin tone....)

The bottle of Azone oil mist is really big, almost the same height of a PN @_@ It will be useful to settle Mia's wavy hair

Support The Green Corridor

For the past weeks my weekends are "burnt" on the railways tracks (by the lovely sun) and got tanned a lot...I am still organizing my photos but here is a wallpaper I have made for my support to The Green Corridor (http://www.thegreencorridor.org/). Azone Mia's Sunday

Finally let one of my Azone girls out of the box. Mia is my 2nd girl and Sahra still inside her box still as the first outdoor suits Mia more. The quick shoots were done with iPhone so the quality are a bit grainy.

Monthly Anime Style with Taiga

Recently received my copy of Monthly Anime Style from Amazon JP. The magazine itself is in Japanese (so I cant do much review on it) But it features some write ups on ToraDora, Byousoku no 5cm, Summer Wars and is quite a thick magazine. Despite it named monthly, but Vol 2 will be only out on in August ^_^|||

For Vol.1, it comes with a Premium Gift -- Taiga in Final Ep Sailor Suit (Kawaii!!!!) More shoots below and Taiga uniform just seem to fit most other characters as well =)

 

New Tinkle Cloth Tapestry

Finally got both tapestries after a while. Both are in B2 sizes and now my only problem is only where to hang them in my room (This 2 will makes the 4th and 5th Tinkle's tapestry in my romm OTL...)

Max Factory Akiyama Mio Shoot

I spent my Labour Day...doing labour job due to our office move and prepare for the coming Tue. To end of the day, I brought along Mio to my new office for an outdoor shoot. She is one of the best Mio figure I ever see. The only disappointment was that she was leaning back quite a bit...so some shoots are quite difficult to get a nice position.

Sahra is home

After 2 week of waiting finally Sahra is home. (my first Pure Neemo too ^_^).

Sadly I am quite busy these days and don't have the time to enjoy some shooting sessions with her X_X So poor Sahra will have to sit on my desk for a little while longer...

Azone Option Parts

The AZONE Option Parts A&B arrived before SAHRA's arrival. Which will be my first Azone doll for some outdoor shootings to come.

2011 New Year Firework Shoot

My firework shoot at Bras Basah. Camped there for almost 5hrs. Seems Aya have become one of my popular model after Danboard...^_^|||
