New Flash ~ Canon 270EX II

Canon's 580EX II is a wonderful flash, but on some occasions it can be too heavy to operate, especially when you are traveling. The 270EX II will also use as a fill flash when photographing Mia outdoors. Hope the light weight and HSS (High Speed Sync) will help me to get better lighting pictures with Mia ^_^

Unfortunately weathers recently are not as good in Singapore. I will be posting more update on this flash when I have a chance to test it with Mia

New DD Loots

Finally one of the new DD stuffs arrived. With some socks, outfits and most importantly - headphones. Been waiting for this shipment after a hard time trying to get them from Volks website. The site almost came to a total halt when the order opens. But luckily still manage to got mine after.

Volks Saber Alter Ver 2.0

Finally after 6 months of wait she reached her new home, her box is really huge (seen here with Canon 70-200mm F2.8 L IS)...now waiting for her stand and carrying case to arrive before she could go outdoors.

New Tinkle Tapestry - C81 Dengeki release

Finally got my Tinkle poster after DHL missed the scheduled delivery time...

Tinkle artwork is really amazing especially using one similar range of colors.

The same character also featured in a few of older Tinkle artworks (also the cover character form their first art book ~ Moonlight Tea Party (Tsukiyono-Chakai)

Wonder when Tinkle will release a new version of the blue side character as well ^_^

This month budget almost all went to new camera gears, got a new wireless flash trigger - Pixel King and Nissin di866 Flash

Now I fire my flash higher than 1/250 ^_^

Will try to write a short review on them soon.

Mia's Kimono

A long delayed post for Mia's new Kimono (Thanks Squishtaru ^_^ ). The shoots were taken a while ago but haven't upload them yet.

New glass

Finally got my hand on the Canon EF-S 10-22mm after drooling it over for almost 4 months. I first experienced this lens during a camera shoot with my friend and the results was incredible. Its simply make people on the far end "disappear". When I try it on doll shooting. It is easier frame with the background. Only problem is have to look out your own gears and shadows so they won't fall into the frame.

If for negative comment, this does not have IS (okay...this lens was more meant for landscape and most people use it with a tripod) But when shooting dolls in some wired position an IS will help and especially for the evening shoots. Hope the next version will come with IS and cost around SGD $1000.

Next is to prepare the budget for DD Saber Alter...the biggest ever budget spent on dolls >_<

Black & White

The girls finally arrived today, Himeno (えっくす☆きゅーと 8thシリーズ 魔女っ子ひめの) and Sahra ~ Summer Melody plus a some summer cloths and a bottle of Azone mist.

Sahra is really cute in her summer dress, but her skin is much tanner this round, so switching her body around won't be able to work. (I still prefer lighter skin tone....)

The bottle of Azone oil mist is really big, almost the same height of a PN @_@ It will be useful to settle Mia's wavy hair

Monthly Anime Style with Taiga

Recently received my copy of Monthly Anime Style from Amazon JP. The magazine itself is in Japanese (so I cant do much review on it) But it features some write ups on ToraDora, Byousoku no 5cm, Summer Wars and is quite a thick magazine. Despite it named monthly, but Vol 2 will be only out on in August ^_^|||

For Vol.1, it comes with a Premium Gift -- Taiga in Final Ep Sailor Suit (Kawaii!!!!) More shoots below and Taiga uniform just seem to fit most other characters as well =)

 

New Tinkle Cloth Tapestry

Finally got both tapestries after a while. Both are in B2 sizes and now my only problem is only where to hang them in my room (This 2 will makes the 4th and 5th Tinkle's tapestry in my romm OTL...)

Sahra is home

After 2 week of waiting finally Sahra is home. (my first Pure Neemo too ^_^).

Sadly I am quite busy these days and don't have the time to enjoy some shooting sessions with her X_X So poor Sahra will have to sit on my desk for a little while longer...

Azone Option Parts

The AZONE Option Parts A&B arrived before SAHRA's arrival. Which will be my first Azone doll for some outdoor shootings to come.
